I’m delighted to say that once again, the judges at the Crime Writers’ Association have seen fit to longlist another Poe and Tilly book for a major award. At nine a.m., along with many other fine books, The Curator was longlisted for the 2021 CWA Gold Dagger, arguably the most prestigious award in crime fiction (it’s certainly the oldest). Some of you may remember that the second book in the series, Black Summer, was longlisted for the 2020 Gold Dagger, and in 2019, The Puppet Show, the first book in the series, went on to win it. Not bad for books set in Cumbria …
Bit of competition this year though with Robert Galbraith, Elly Griffiths and my favourite for the gong, Chris Whitaker (for the astoundingly good We Begin At The End) all making the same list.
The full lists for all the daggers can be seen here.
And for those you patiently waiting for Dead Ground, I’ll be running another competition next week. Stay tuned.
